Urgent| TRUMP: We know who was involved in the Aramco attacks in Saudi Arabia. And we're ready to respond.
Us President Donald Trump said the United States knows who was involved in the attacks on Saudi oil facilities, stressing that Washington is ready to respond to those who carried out the attack.
"Saudi oil supplies have been attacked, there is reason to believe that we know the perpetrator, and we are ready to respond to the attack based on verification first," Trump said in a tweet, adding, "But we are waiting to hear from Saudi Arabia about who you think was the cause of this attack, and how we will move forward! "" according to Sky News.
On the other hand, the U.S. National Security Council held a meeting in the presence of the vice president and the secretary of defense to discuss the attack on the two Aramco oil facilities in Saudi Arabia, and about his expected meeting with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, Trump said in another tweet ,"It is not true that I want to meet the Iranians unconditionally."
Senior U.S. officials cited intelligence assessments, including satellite imagery, to confirm their view of Iran's responsibility for Saturday's attacks on Saudi Arabia's key oil infrastructure.
The officials said intelligence showed that the strikes were inconsistent with the type of attack that could come from Yemen.
Satellites released by the U.S. government showed at least 19 points at two Saudi power plants. Officials said the photos showed effects consistent with an Iranian attack rather than a Yemeni attack.
