Trump: Ready to destroy The Turkish economy and stop deals in excess of $100 billion
Us President Donald Trump said, "I will issue executive orders to impose sanctions on turkish officials and anyone who contributes to turkey's destabilizing operations in northeastern Syria."
Taxes on steel imported from Turkey will rise by 50%, Trump said, according to Sky News.
Trump said the Commerce Department will suspend negotiations on deals in excess of $100 billion with Turkey.
"I am fully prepared to destroy the Turkish economy and quickly if Turkish leaders continue to pursue this dangerous and destructive approach," he continued.
"We will withdraw our forces, but we will maintain a limited force at al-Tanf base in southern Syria to prevent the redeployment of ISIS," Trump said.
